Credit One 2020 Wrap Up!

Well, what a year 2020 has been for all! Not only us in Australia but everyone throughout the world. As we near the end of 2020 we take this time to reflect on the past 12 months. This time last year we could have never imagined the impact that Covid-19 would have on our lives both, personal and business. Some of our clients and staff have had to deal with Bush fires, Floods, Lock downs and State Borders being closed.

It has been a real test of the Credit One team’s resilience. As a business the Credit One Group, like so many of our customers and business partners had to quickly adapt and modify the way we operate. I’m pleased to say that thanks to the dedication of our managers and staff we continued to service our customers and referral network without any real interruption. Our current technology allowed us the flexibility to work remotely from home as required, which greatly assisted our team members in Victoria who were truly “Locked Down”.

Although we were in unchartered “Covid” waters our finance partners continued to assess, approve and settle finance applications. Their processing times were not up to their usual service standards but given the circumstances they did a great job.

Over the past 6 months the Credit One Group’s businesses have experienced strong enquiry for our services to the point that we expanded our team numbers above pre-covid numbers.

The number of finance enquiries to our Caravan and Camper Trailer Team certainly reflects the movement of many Australian’s who are taking the opportunity to explore and travel Australia, while international travel will be off the agenda for the foreseeable future. Normally our “Caravan and Camper Trailer Finance Team” would travel from town to town and city to city to attend and support our loyal dealers at the various shows. However, as with many events during Covid the number of these shows have been very restricted.

The same can be said for the level of enquiry for Boat finance, instead of people spending money on overseas trips they are purchasing boats and marine leisure craft’s to holiday at home for 2021!

Our Perth branch recently relocated to a larger and more comfortable office located at Suite 4, 280 Bannister Road, Canning Vale WA 6155, so if you are in the area, feel free to call in and see Kirra and the team!

Earlier this year we were pleased to welcome Chris George to the group to oversee our Approved Car Loans and Web Enquiry branches which are located at our head office at 81 Brandl Street Eight Mile Plains on the southern side of Brisbane City. Chris brings a wealth of management and finance experience after a long tenure with Latitude Finance.

Many of our self-employed customers have been kept busy this year which has in turn kept our Equipment Finance team also very busy over 2020, assisting these customers to fund the purchase additional and replacement plant and equipment such as trucks, trailers and earthmoving equipment.

Credit One’s 5 star google review numbers has now exceeded “850+”!!! Something we are really proud of and reflects the efforts of the whole Credit One Team!
